Our KWIQ Guider package greatly simplifies the task of autoguiding by packaging the camera, optics and mounting hardware into a compact, easy to aim system that is always in focus.

The KWIQ Guider offers a 2 degree field of view. It's excellent sensitivity virtually ensures you will always find a guide star. It resolves centroid positions by means of software to approximately 0.06 arc seconds so you can guide virtually any imaging focal length with high precision.

The KWIQ Guider easily handles sub-arc second imaging scales. It does not require counter balancing or special tools to operate. It is the perfect guiding solution for fork mounted SCT users, but is definitely not limited to SCT use.

The KWIQ Guider works with PHD and other FREEWARE guiding software as well as the major commercial imaging software packages, including MaximDL and CCDSoft. The KWIQ Guider connects directly to the autoguider port of ST4 compatible mounts. No extra adapters or cables are needed.
Components are available separately. Package includes QHY5 CAMERA, guide scope, mounting hardware and cables .

For mounting on a Schmidt Cassegrain (SCT) a separate SCT base is required.

QHY5 and KWIQ System Camera
You will need to download the generic system driver for the QHY5 camera as well as software to use it as an autoguider. Included here are plug-ins for MaximDL and AstroArt. We highly recommend PHD by Craig Stark for autoguiding. The latter is a freeware package dedicated to autoguiding. If using PHD, install it first, then install the generic QHY5 driver.
