Are you considering the purchase of your first telescope? There are several factors to keep in mind. How you intend to use the telescope – daytime as well as night time use or primarily for astronomy or for photography - will be a significant factor in the type of scope you will choose. Solar Eclipse 2006

On March 29, 2006 a total solar eclipse passed through West Africa and extended up through the Mediterranian Sea. Star enthusiasts, Bev and Ken From were serving a one year voluntary service term with the Mennonite Central Committee in central Nigeria and made plans to visit the center line of the eclipse in Northern Nigeria.
